Anodised Aluminium Profile Sections
Alument Industries manufactures anodised aluminium profile sections that combine the inherent advantages of aluminium extrusions with a durable, decorative anodic oxide finish. Anodising is an electrochemical process that converts the aluminium surface into a hard, wear-resistant aluminium oxide layer, significantly enhancing corrosion resistance, surface hardness, and aesthetic appearance compared to raw mill finish aluminium. Our anodised aluminium profiles are available in multiple anodic finishes including natural silver, black, bronze, champagne, and gold tones. The anodic layer becomes an integral part of the aluminium substrate rather than a surface coating, meaning it cannot peel, chip, or flake off. This makes anodised profiles exceptionally durable in harsh environments including coastal, industrial, and high-traffic areas where long-term appearance retention is critical. We offer anodising in standard thicknesses of 10 microns, 15 microns, 20 microns, and 25 microns to suit different exposure conditions and performance requirements. Architectural-grade anodising at 20-25 microns is recommended for exterior applications, while 10-15 micron finishes are suitable for interior and decorative use. All our anodised profiles comply with relevant IS and BS standards for coating thickness and quality.
