Morbi is known across India as the capital of ceramic tiles and wall clocks. Behind that reputation is a strong manufacturing culture of skilled workers, entrepreneurial families and a dense network of suppliers. That environment also supports other industries, including aluminium extrusion.

Alument Industries operates its main extrusion plant at Survey No. 71P, Dhamalpar, Wankaner, in Morbi district. In this article we take you inside the plant, explain how an aluminium profile is made from start to finish, and show why Morbi's industries rely on a local extrusion partner.

  • ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system

How a Profile Is Made in Our Morbi Plant

Our six-stage manufacturing process keeps every step under our own control, so quality does not depend on outside job-workers:

  1. Design and consultation: Our engineers review your drawing, check it for extrudability and recommend the right alloy, temper and die design.
  2. Billet casting: Our in-house foundry produces high-grade aluminium billets, which gives us control over the metal's chemistry from the very start.
  3. Extrusion: Billets are heated and pressed through precision steel dies on our 800 MT press. The profile is then cooled, stretched straight and aged to T5 or T6 temper.
  4. Fabrication: CNC cutting, drilling, punching and tapping turn raw lengths into ready-to-fit components.
  5. Surface finishing: Options include anodizing, powder coating, wood grain sublimation, brushing and polishing.
  6. Quality check and delivery: Every batch is inspected against IS:733 and EN 755 tolerances before it is packed and dispatched.

Aluminium Solutions for Morbi's Industries

Ceramic and tile manufacturers

Morbi's ceramic plants run long, continuous production lines with kilns, glazing machines and packing systems. We supply heavy aluminium profile extrusions, extruded aluminium channels and aluminium rectangle tubes for machine frames, safety guards and conveyor supports. Aluminium does not rust in humid glazing areas and is easy to modify when lines are upgraded.

Tile showrooms and flooring contractors

Finishing details make tiles look premium. Our aluminium skirting profiles and aluminium L-angles give clean, protected edges at tile corners and wall junctions, in anodized or powder-coated shades that match modern interiors.

Clock and consumer goods makers

Morbi's clock and consumer product manufacturers use lightweight aluminium profiles and anodised aluminium sections for frames, casings and decorative trims that need a smooth, attractive surface.

Infrastructure and construction

Local contractors rely on us for aluminium window sections and powder-coated profiles. Vikram Solanki, Project Manager at Solanki Infra, Morbi, has described our powder coating quality and consistency as unmatched in the region.

Solar installations

With high power consumption from kilns and machinery, many Morbi factories are installing rooftop solar to cut electricity costs. Our solar rooftop mounting rails, solar mid clamps and solar end clamps are manufactured right here in Morbi district.

Why Work With a Morbi-Based Extrusion Plant?

  • Local presence: Morbi and Wankaner businesses can visit, approve samples and collect material quickly, often on the same day.
  • One-stop production: Casting, extrusion, fabrication and finishing all happen at one site, which reduces lead times and quality risk.
  • Responsible production: Aluminium can be recycled again and again without losing its properties. Learn about our sustainability practices and why aluminium extrusions are the future of sustainable manufacturing.
  • National and global reach: The same plant ships across India and exports to the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
